***Back-To-School Night Picnic***
We will be doing this year at the house.....YAY!!!!! This will be potluck style, so please watch for an email from signup genius. We will be providing fried chicken and some drinks.
Temperature over 100 degrees F is considered a fever according to the CDC. For all other illnesses I will be following The Children's Hospital & CDC as to when to keep your child home with you. Just remember that a lot of illnesses are contagious before symptoms appear, including the actual Flu, COVID, and many, many others.
Empowering Your Child: Building Independence
Establish Routines: Daily routines give kids a sense of comfort and familiarity. Having a routine for morning, bedtime, playtime, and mealtime helps them know what to expect.

- This builds: Predictability and comfort. When children know what to expect, they feel safer and more secure, which helps them handle new experiences like starting preschool.
- Try it out: Create a visual schedule with your child. Get creative! Take pictures of the steps your child takes, find images and print them, draw, or use stickers—whatever visual will help your child follow their steps. Reference this simple template as a start.
- Turn your routine into a song! Singing supports your child's language development and working memory. Here’s a morning routine song from Daniel Tiger to get you started.
- For more help with routines and starting school, check out this Sesame Street series featuring Elmo, Ready for School Challenge.
- Sleep helps your child grow, stay healthy, and be ready to learn and play each day. Check out tips for bedtime routines and more info Sleep and Your Child
