Welcome to the New House! There are so many new exciting things being planned and I am excited to be able to include you in this new addition. I am very pleased to announce a new preschool program that will be launched all learning will be aligned with the Colorado Early Learning and Development Guidelines and School Readiness Programs. This is also connected with the Teaching Strategies Gold that we did last year, but much, much more. This year we will be adding onto this. Please see below September Preschool plans.
Those of you who are not familiar with this all Colorado Early Child Care Program's (Child Care Centers, Home Child Care, & Pre-School Programs) we are now rated by Colorado Shines. Currently Angel Hugs Daycare is rated at a Level II. We just received another grant and have been entered into the system to be evaluated for a Level III, which will take place in the next 2-3 months. (Please see below the goals set-up for Angel Hugs Day Care)
What does this mean?
Level I - Basic child care license (meets just the standards to be licensed), Level II = Level I + more experience/more education, Level III - Level V = Level II + higher quality of teaching & learning based on Colorado's Early Childhood Education and Quality Standards.

For any family who refers someone and the kiddo starts. You will receive 1 WEEK FREE child care, valued for 1 child.
NEW Front Door Keypad Lock
Since it is so hard for me to hear when parents are here to pick their children up. We have added a new keypad door lock. I will be sending an individual text to everyone giving them the PIN. This will start on Monday, Aug 22. This will only be available during pickups only. This PIN is only good from the hours of 3:30pm - 6:00pm (when we are home) as of right now. Please use your PIN and let yourself in.
When you leave, please see that the door gets shut behind you. The lock will re-lock itself in 30 seconds. Please make sure when you go to shut the door the dead bolt is not sticking out. I will go through this with every parent.

The kids will be asked to bring ONE toy from home on FRIDAY'S ONLY, but now they have to help pick something that we have learned from the week. I will put on the board what they need to help pick out from home. Example: 1st Week we will be working on the letter A & the color Blue. If you could help them find something at home that starts with the letter A, like the sound in APPLE or something with the color Blue.
Please bring this item in a bag, labeled with their name. Since we are going to have a specific day to bring a toy, I am asking for ALL other toys to stay at home all other days.

State of Colorado & Food Program is requiring all parents to sign their children in and out of daycare. In the parent center will be the clip board. If you would please do this, that would be awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! FOOD PROGRAM has said they are starting to not reimburse if this is not done.
(NEW)Kellie Volleyball Schedule
Once again this year we will be going Kellie's volleyball games. Her games will be a little later than normal, but we will be leaving the house at 4:45pm.
September 8th, 14th, 20th, & 29th
October 4th, 10th & 14th.
All games will be played at Wheat Ridge High School.
