It's getting warm out and all I can do is think of the flowers and all the color that is starting to appear and how much the kids enjoy the outdoors this time of year.
Please be thinking about your plans for childcare for over the summer. Next month I will have a confirmed list of our activities for each day. Here is what it will be looking like:
From June until August we will be still having daily activities, but the structured preschool classroom will resume in September 2018.

Angels on the Move Grant
There will be some changes come to the backyard over the next few weeks....YAY!!!! We were approved for a grant through the Office of Early Childhood. We will be redoing the front porch steps, widening the back porch steps, repairing the wood steps, turning the rock area into concrete (make for more trike room), adding a railing to that area and putting in a gate from the patio to the yard (make safer). This project will be done sometime between now and June 30. I am so excited!!!!!
Gradual Rate Increase
Beyond the lookout for new rate increases coming soon. I will be sending out a more detailed letter to each family.

Flu Season
Flu Season is almost over, but please still be aware of the following: I encourage ALL children to get the Flu Shot, if they can. Please if you have any questions as to if your child should attend daycare please feel free to ask. I've got a list from the The Children's Hospital & CDC of different things as to when to keep your child home with you. Just remember that a lot illnesses are contagious before symptoms appear. Temperature over 100 degrees F is considered a fever according to the CDC.
New Blanket Policy
Due to safety issues and to reduce risks, no child under the age of 2 will be given a blanket for nap time. Infants birth to 12 months will be provided a sleep sack as stated in the Infant Safe Sleep Policy.
New Sign-In & Sign-Out
This should start on April 23. Please watch texts and emails for more information. Every parent will need an email. Once one parent has been contacted, you will be able to assign as many people to pick up your child. Each person will then create their own 8-digit PIN. I will have this setup on either my phone or an iPad. Unfortunately there is no way to practice this until it goes LIVE. All sign-in and sign-outs must be caught up by every Friday. I will train each of you once this goes LIVE. I'm so excited!

The kids will be asked to bring ONE toy from home on FRIDAY'S ONLY, but now they have to help pick something that we have learned from the week. I will put on the board what they need to help pick out from home. Example: 1st Week we will be working on the letter A & the color Blue. If you could help them find something at home that starts with the letter A, like the sound in APPLE or something with the color Blue.
Please bring this item in a bag, labeled with their name. Since we are going to have a specific day to bring a toy, I am asking for ALL other toys to stay at home all other days.
